Bloggers I Admire: Terry at These Peas Taste Funny

I really look forward to Wednesdays when I can introduce you to another blogger that I really admire!  This week, it's Terry from These Peas Taste Funny
I'm going to tell you right off the bat, that when I first started blogging, I followed her because I liked the name of her blog. (I don't think I ever told her this!) It made me smile every time I came across it.  If you want to know why she chose that name, you can find out right HERE.

She also has a fabulous link party that if you haven't shared your talent on, you really ought to or at the very least, go check out some of the talent that turns up there every Thursday!

I like Terry's blog because I think she has a real respect for creativity and it shows.  When she did a series called "Wheel of Life", it really made me think about myself and how my own creativity fits into my life, not to mention how I can make room for a little more, which I think all craft bloggers try to figure out at some point.  Right now on Tuesdays, she is doing a "Grillin Series", with some awesome recipes..... just in time for this crazy hot weather!

Terry really does it all.....she cooks, she sews, she crochets, she crafts, she's a writer, she paints and she gardens.  I'm sure I left something out, but you'll see  some of all of that on her blog. Here are the links to 3 posts she sent me when I asked her what her favorites were.  Check them out, and then I'll show you a few of her posts that are my favorites.

This is so pretty and I have it pinned so that I can remember to make it for this coming fall!

I have always wondered how to do this and she gives an awesome tutorial on this gorgeous one!

This is actually one of my favorites too!  I'd like about 3 of these in different colors!

This has to be the most beautiful soup I've ever seen and when I found out there were pears in it, I wanted some.....like now!

(Oh.....I guess I forgot to mention that she also takes gorgeous pictures, but you know that by now!)

And now for a few of my favorite posts by Terry:

Can you believe this started out as a thrift store find??

Terry did this one before I got to know her.  I'd never seen it until I was getting ready to write this post.  Want one!

Looking for something to do with all of that zucchini that everyone is about to start giving you...oh right about now?  This is super easy and looks so divine!

Isn't this beautiful?  Terry knows I can't sew without swearing....but I may try this one!

So now that you've seen some of Terry's seriously awesome projects, I'm sure you'll want to visit her blog and check a few out!  She also started a new blog (did she tell me this? NO!) that is most likely going to be every bit as great as These Peas Taste Funny.
I happen to know she painted this hummingbird.  It happens to be my desktop photo right now.

And before I sign off here, I want to pay tribute to a great dog that she lost a little while back:
It just stinks losing a beloved friend!

Terry, thanks for letting me feature you here today and thanks for being what I look forward to the most when I open my email every morning!
Here's to island drinks! ;)

  2. With an endorsement from Danni, I must go check out Terry now. Her carrot soup picture looks like it should be framed, it looks so pretty. And the zucchini onion tart is making my mouth water. Another sweet tribute to another great blogger!
