Can A Field of Dirt Be Pretty?

It's Sunday and you know I like to post a little "farm news" on Sunday.  Remember that field that we burned a few weeks ago?  Well here it is as of yesterday.  Isn't it pretty?
In case you didn't see it right after we burned it, here is a picture....
Better now don't you think?  We had some good rain after we burned.  Then yesterday, Sam put the disc on the tractor and went through both fields.  (He seriously loves being on that tractor!)
We'll be planting corn in both fields and then we'll be deciding on maze designs for each.  If you haven't been through a corn maze in the fall, find one near you and go!  They are so much fun!  We have a game every year that you can play in ours.  I can't tell you how much we enjoy sharing our farm with the public every fall.  I also can't tell you how much I L-O-V-E growing pumpkins!  (Okay, maybe I can, but, we'll save that for another Sunday.)  If you want to see what goes on around here in the fall you can visit our website by clicking this link:

I know it's only April, but from now until the end of September, we'll be working like crazy getting everything ready.
Have a beautiful Sunday!

  1. Do hope I were there. How wonderful to go into the maze field and wandering in the pumpkin patch and corn maze. Anxious to see the growing.

  5. We went to a corn maze an hour away and it was hot and sunny. My daughter was 2 at the time. Anyways, after being in there for a few hours we followed one group that seemed to know where they were going. lol

What time of year do you plant your pumpkins? I'm thinking of planting a few this year.
