She was my neighbor back when we lived in Montana and I would have never survived those long snowy winters without her and her determination to get me to try crafting. Or her teaching me to cross country ski, even if I was dressed up in the pinkest, puffiest ski clothes.
I would never have survived my children's teenage years without her constant reminder that it is illegal to kill someone and that she would be uncomfortable visiting me in prison.
I'm not sure I would have survived making over 100 tamales, which is a 2 day cooking process if she didn't come over and help.
I would never survive the craziness of my holidays without looking forward to visiting her every February or March!
I would take a sledge hammer to my sewing machine, whom I have named Damien, (because I am convinced it is possessed) if she weren't there to answer the phone every time I try to sew something.
But....she is a survivor herself...a breast cancer survivor. For that I am grateful because I can't imagine my world without her in it!
So........for the next couple of days, I am not blogging, reading blogs or linking up to any parties because this is a woman who is getting my undivided attention and my every spare minute this weekend.
I'm sure we'll do a craft...or two together, because that's what we do. I'm sure I'll post them, later, because that's what I do. If I could just get her to be friends with her computer, we could do a blog together and rock the whole craft blogging world! She really is an awesome crafter, a wonderful seamstress, a great cook and a crazy perfectionist. (If I only had a dime for every seam she made me rip out when she was trying to teach me to sew.)
I sure hope everyone in the world has a friend like Judy because she sure makes my world a much happier place!
Enjoy your weekend!
