Fall Recall for Y'all!

So fall is just about the most awesome season for me (unless we have the promise of a ton of snow for winter..then I'm all in).  I think I make more fall projects than any other season and before I start this years fall crafting, I'm going to recap a few of my favorite fall projects.

This fall wreath was one of my favorites, because I love cattails.
FALL WREATH
My pallet shelf was long overdue and perfect for some fall decorations.
PALLET SHELF

I jumped on the subway art bandwagon, in a small way.  (I thought it was some kind of right-of-passage for a craft blogger...kinda like chalkboard projects.)
FALL SUBWAY ART
This is still my favorite fall recipe.  I'll probably make it several times over the next month or two.   It's sweet, savory and you make it in the microwave.
HARVEST ACORN SQUASH
Sometimes a quick and simple centerpiece works best for my table, otherwise, it might not get one at all.
AUTUMN CENTERPIECE
And last, but certainly not least....I shared some of my favorite fall alcohol...because it rhymes and because it's fun.
FALL ALCOHOL...I'M GOIN THERE!

As a special note, I would like to say that any time I post about alcohol, I lose a few followers.  (I had a farewell drink for those special souls.)  If this offends you...well...then it offends you.  I respect everyone's right to their opinion.
So there's a little early inspiration to get you going, because if you make your fall decor, like I do every year, you want to have time to enjoy it.
Next post, I'm going to make a great fall floral arrangement that will take you all the way from fall, through Halloween and still look great for Thanksgiving with just a few minor adjustments.

  3. I think these are just the tip of what you did last year and I enjoyed each and every one. This year will probably be a bit different as you start another adventurous chapter. I look forward to whatever you give us as I know you'll find a way to keep us with you. Welcoming Fall!!!

  4. I am happy that you're excited for fall, but I cannot join you. I am a spring and summer girl. Fall is wonderful but it leads right into you-know-what. Maybe if I try some of that Angry Orchard I can change my attitude.

  6. How did I never see the that Pallet shelf before Danni ????
Love it - want to make one now - and seriously - you lose a few followers just by "mentionning" alcohol???
Pretty close minded people I'd say no?
I still have that recipe pinned from last year - still haven't made it though :(
And I'm with Cheryl on this one - Fall reeks too much of winter for me - takes all the joy out of a beautiful season for me actually - because all I can think of is " winter's around the corner - winter's around the corner - winter's around the corner "
Happy you can embrace it though LOL

  8. Now you've got me in the mood...even tho it's 100 degrees right now. The squash looks so delish. Cheers!

  9. I never changed my mantel for Spring or Summer, and now that Fall is hot on the heels of summer all I have to do is dust it and add some autumn colors. Guess I saved myself some work not being on top of it.

  10. I love fall...but I am not terribly crafty. I used to be...just not anymore, for some reason. I think with the new look I need to try some new things! (I will tell you what I HAVE tried--and that's your acorn squash recipe. There is nothing I love more than squash in the fall. Really. More than chocolate. More than alcohol. Really.) I like the Angry Orchard, too...but my son drinks most of it.

  11. What is Angry Orchard - besides a great name? Is it beer or is it cider? I love cattails too. I can remember stopping on the side of the highway - while traveling with my parents as a little girl - to pick cattails for my mother to make an arrangement. Well you know I love fall, but it does scare me a little that I will never see sunshine again. Fall on the farm must be awesome.

  12. Fall alcohol...awesome! And it would take way more than that to turn me away.

In fact, I can't think of a single thing that could possibly make me leave...

    You're stuck with me. :P

  15. Oh my gosh!! There are some great fall projects, but I have to say I'm just not there yet. I'm still in the pre-fall alcohol stage... pink flamingo glass and all.

  16. cat tails are so my fave! I spent a good portion of my childhood chopping down cattails and ripping them to shreds. Don't want summer to go, but you're firing up my creative juices!!

  17. Danni, love your fall round-up and I'm ready for the season - right after my vacation next week! I really love the Angry Orchard fall drink! Hope you have a happy Friday and a great weekend - thank you for the autumn inspiration! :)

  18. Hey Danni! I love all of your fall projects especially the pallet shelf. I can't believe September is right around the corner...fall is my favorite season, I love it! But I also love Mondays and rainy days... I'm not sure why the mention of alcohol would cause someone to stop following you, people are weird. Anyway... I made a cattail flower arrangement one time, so impressed with myself until one morning I woke up and it had exploded all over my living room. fluff stuff everywhere! I'm sure there is a secret to keeping that from happening. I must google.

  21. Danni, you make me laugh! Cheers to your last paragraph. I love that you keep it real on your blog.

Your pallet shelf is great. I've never attempted subway art but yours makes me want to try and since it's a rite of passage for bloggers I better get on that :).

  22. Haha Danni You are so funny. Love all your fall projects. I love fall and winter too. Every season has it's shine! My glass to you! Cheers.

  23. Thanks for reminders here. I'm always looking for something to fill in my menu for sure and have got to look at that subway art post again. Love it.

As for losing followers for posting what alcoholic beverages you like, that's just strange to me. Getting all this inspiration and fun for free doesn't really doesn't seem like something one could whine about. Come to think of it, that's what's lacking in blog land--a link party about the alcoholic beverages of choice! I think I may have my first link party coming up.

  24. Oh my gosh, how did I miss that acorn squash recipe?! It's my dad's FAVORITE thing in the world.. and you can make it in the microwave??? That's too cool! I'm going to surprise him with it for dinner soon :)

  25. The right of passage includes subway art, blackboard paint and alcohol doesn't it !!! I just haven't created any subway art yet, so I feel like I'm missing out lol !
Love your fall round up, I now need a pallet shelf, great ideas Danni.

  27. The Subway Art is my favorite, but I like them all, Danni! Can't wait to see what else you'll come up with this year! {No worries about the alcohol on my side - I actually find it amusing that people unfollow you because of it!}

  28. You won't lose me with any booze references. I'm sure I don't care if you drink moonshine you make yourself as long as the great ideas keep coming! You have me in the fall spirit now.

  31. OK, lets start with the important stuff(hehehe)...I will be looking for that Angry Orchard. And you could never get rid of me because of evil alcohol. ;) I often mention on my blog us drinking a craft beer and probably make people shudder that we dRiNk, but I don't care. I love how open and honest you are.
Now about all the FALL crafts.....can't wait! And fall recipes. Oh and I love cattails too. My favorite around these parts is Goldenrod. I've been known to pull off the highway to pick some to have in a vase/jar.
I am SO ready for fall.
Hope you have a great week!
