He is a lucky dog. He has a nice home with his own creek where he can swim and fetch sticks all day long.
He has a boy. Every dog should have a boy. (Or a girl.)
He has known his boy forever.
They have been through some tough times together...
In the beginning, he spent countless hours teaching his boy to share toys and play fetch...
Oh, but all of that hard work paid off in a couple of years....
His boy tells him "I love you Finn! I love you 192." I don't really know what that means, but it's a lot and Finn knows what it means. It makes his tail stub wag when his boy tells him that he is loved 192.Not all dogs are as lucky as Finn. My good friend Tina at "What We Keep" also loves dogs....maybe even 192. She is trying to help some dogs who are not as lucky as Finn. Please click HERE and see what she is doing to help a couple of dogs have a chance at having a great life.
A blown and thrown kiss is about all your going to get from a boy who is 6, but Oh...to be loved 192!
What a cute and sweet post!! So glad Finn has such a good home. Lynda
ReplyDeleteThey sure love one another - can see on their faces ! Finn will miss the farm, especially the creek ! The SPCA is the only charity we give money/food and blankets to. My heart always breaks when I see the weekly "features" in our local paper, because I want to go fetch them all but we are already one over the limit {we have 5}. We do not get a lot of visitors and I think one of the reasons is that our rule is - this is our, and our dogs' home, fit in with them or stay away ;-)
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Danni! A dog's love is unconditional. Wish they all had good homes!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! Makes me miss having dogs and little boys around the house.
ReplyDeleteAnd that creek! Do you know what I'd give to have a creek on my land? I can't believe your house hasn't sold already just based on having that beautiful bit of water flowing through It.
Off to check out the other post!
Awww....so precious! My heart is a puddle of mush :) Hugs to you!
ReplyDeleteA boy and his dog...that's something that touches our hearts in a special way. I adore this post and thank you so much for wanting to help spread the word about Will and Grace. Please thank Jacob and Finn...I love them 192!
ReplyDeleteHeart warming post, Finn is adorable! Pets are one of the absolute best things about my home. Cat #1 is a former feral cat who, as a tiny kitten, lost it's mother. Cat # 2 is from the humane society. Cat #3 and Dog #1 are being fostered by me while my military brother is stationed overseas. I cannot imagine that menagerie not living at my house.
ReplyDeleteLove this post Danni! Our furry friends bring such unconditional love into our lives. 4 out of our 5 cats are abandoned strays that we took in. They bring much joy and fun to us and our home. It breaks my heart whenever I hear of an animal being hurt or abandoned.
ReplyDeleteI'll go check it out, I find it so hard to believe that people can mistreat dogs. Mine is utterly spoilt too, probably more so because he's a rescue dog, but he's just such a little bundle of joy.
ReplyDeleteFinn and his boy are so adorable !
A child and a dog is the perfect combination for love - 192!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sending me over to see Will and Grace. You know how much animal welfare means to me!
ReplyDeleteAwww. I love you 192. :) Love it when anybody helps animals.
ReplyDeleteA dog needs a boy, and a boy needs a dog. These 2 look like the perfect match!
ReplyDeleteI saw her post yesterday, and made me very sad. I am a dog lover myself...
ReplyDeleteYour sweet post brought a smile to my face and warmed my heart. Finn is such a lucky dog to have you and to have Jacob. How wonderful of you to share this and encourage people to go support Tina and her cause. You are good people Danni :)

ReplyDeleteI love Finn 192 too. Maybe even 193! And I was choking back tears through this whole post because I was concerned about the fate of Finn. So happy to see is still going strong. Now I need to check out what Tina is up to!

ReplyDeleteLucky # 192! sweet story Danni. The Dog and HIS Boy - love it!! Our dirt road is the local "drop off point" for the unwanted dogs and cats for the county... Last week we picked up a puppy bulldog - she's deaf as a hammer, but now we love her - not sure how that's gonna pan out here in the country. So her name came naturally when we discovered her deafness when I said, Good Golly Miss Molly!
ReplyDeleteWell, crying is one way to start a Monday morning. ;) Very sweet post. My dog has a boy as well, and there is nothing better!
