OMBRE CANDY GLASS

I made this little wine glass filled with candy as an addition to my Valentine's decorations.
Now I have to admit, that I was totally inspired by my friend Megan at Our Pinteresting Family, when she made this.....
Ombre Valentine Decoration
Isn't that pretty??!!  She used shredded paper, which I thought was genius! I love her projects! If you are looking for some Valentine Inspiration, she's cranking out plenty of it over at her blog for you.  Check it out!

I didn't have any pink colored paper that I could shred, but I had candy.  I always have candy.  And this candy came in red, 2 shades of pink and some white.....perfect for an ombre project!
After sorting them (I'll admit to eating some during this process), I put them in the glass and then stared at it for a while.  I decided to add some embellishment to the stem.
A pink ribbon, a charm and a jump ring, to which I added a few pink beads.
I think that in my house, this will end up being a very temporary decoration....because I like candy.
Thank you Megan for the sweet inspiration!

  1. That is just perfect, Danni! I think this would be a temporary decoration in my house too. But it's so cute and sweet. Love it!

  2. This is going on my table for Valentine's Day. In fact, I think I'm going to do a wine glass for each setting. Since I'm a sugar addict, I'll have to go with the shredded paper for decorating until then. The candy wouldn't last a day in a house with me in it!

  3. This candy dish is so inviting! Leave it to me to want the ones on the bottom! How cute is this!!! And I love the last photo. It looks like it should be featured in a magazine with the black background highlighting everything. Tells us more about how to did this.

  4. So sweet, Danni! But, my hands won't be able to stay out of there {and don't let me start with the kids..lol} I love the little detail around the stem :-)

  5. Not eating, testing for quality control!

That's really pretty, Megan's was very pretty as well, with Madeleine neither would last at my place, she'd want to play with the pretty shredded paper and eat the chocolate - I need some high shelves!

  12. This would make a sweet gift for your Valentine. I am afraid I would eat the decoration before Feb. 14th arrived. Are they M&M's?
