A few river stones that I gathered from the Missouri River when I lived in Montana, a piece of dried moss, a candle and the pallet board scrap leftover from THIS project and I have a candlescape that even my husband likes.
I'll take this moment to remind you that our once a month link party for Tongue-In-Cheek Tuesday is coming up next week. This months theme is "Total Couture Tuesday" where we'll all be poking a little fun at ourselves about what we really wear when were home, hanging around the house, doing what we do and hoping the fashion police don't stop by. If you want to join in, (and we hope you will) just snap a picture of your oh-so-casual "haute couture", write a funny post about it and link it up here or on any of the blogs listed below. We don't have any special rules or anything. We just like to make a little fun of ourselves! We can promise you this....we will never be the stars of "What I Wore Wednesday". We don't have the fashion sense....at least not on Tuesdays! (We also promise you a few laughs.)
Linking up at any or all of the fine parties listed at the bottom of this page as well as....
Danni, that is beautiful. What a lovely job of incorporating nature into a candlescape. Really well done.
ReplyDeleteYou are so creative lady! I love this pallet board pretty. And you have a creek?!? So jealous!
ReplyDeleteHappy hUMp day!!!
This is lovely, Danni! And that creek..?? I told you before I am going to move in with you guys ! {I'll stay in a tent down by the creek ;-) }
ReplyDeleteThe candlescape looks so peaceful. -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
ReplyDeleteI am sending Joan Rivers over for this one!! :) sounds fun.
ReplyDeleteIt is a good candlescape and you KNOW it's good when the fellas say it's pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteSo simple, but so pretty! Very nice. Your party sounds like fun!
ReplyDeleteI love your little antlers!! And I'm seriously chomping at the bit for the party Tuesday...!! :P

As always, you've come up with a winner! Anything with stones and antlers has to be great!
ReplyDeleteOkay, this might be a favorite of mine....although everything you make is amazing! We have a lot of antlers around here so I am going to have to go in the woods and look around :) Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Stephanie
I have antlers! i have antlers! Yay!! I can copycat you! Mine are attached to a board with a bit of fur...do you think that's the head? Ewww...should I rip it off? Maybe I'll just look at yours instead.
ReplyDeleteThis is perfectly calm- something I am not right now! LOL
ReplyDeleteI think I'll stare at it and meditate. :)
Very nice.. I'd call it Hunter's Zen.. Ohmmm
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful and could be used indoors or out.
ReplyDeleteI love your candlescape, Danni!! How lucky you are to have a creek on your property, and to be able to find little surprises such as an antler shed. The best I can do is my gutter downspout and perhaps a squirrel visit, or two!!
ReplyDeleteThat is just lovely Danni. There's something kind of zen-like about it. Very naturally pretty.
ReplyDeleteWell, that is a bit of magic: finding an antler next to your firepit. I love how you've created a little piece of nature to live indoors.
ReplyDeleteAlso.. a creek?!?! Are there pictures? I'm so jealous!
I love grayed out pallet wood, looks beautiful ~ Paula
ReplyDeleteI love this display Danni - so pretty and calming!
ReplyDeleteYou've done it again... where do you get your inspiration? I love it. My hubby hunts, we have hundreds of antlers. literally. He's hunted all of his life and he's a shed hoarder. I've just recently used 1 in a vignette. It's funny, when things are so accessible, you don't think to use them. At least that's me... :-/
ReplyDeleteYou continue to be on a "ROLL" Danni with your awesome creations! You're inspiring us all to get going with our crafts!
ReplyDeleteSo simple and pretty! Thanks for the wonderful ideas!~~Angela
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this Danni!
ReplyDeleteOnly you can go for a walk by a creek ( your very own personal creek ) spot an antler shed and create something this awesome from it.............looks like something that belongs in Restoration Hardware - gorgeous!

Danni, this is so elegant and poetic, the lines are so clean and curvy... beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI agree with hubby on this being the perfect candle display! That you collected all the bits and pieces, and they remind you of special places, makes it even better.
ReplyDeleteThis is what my sister and I would call "Classy cowboy" Love it. I've got to convince the husband to bag me a deer so I can have a pretty antler in my house...at the very least a jackalope.
ReplyDeleteDanni I really like how you styled this display, it looks like a piece of art. It's so pretty! I can't believe I haven't gotten antlers yet, they're so expensive when I find them in the antique stores around her.
ReplyDeleteLeslie (Gwen Moss)
Love your pallet board candlescape - I love how you put everything together...naturally beautiful - very zen. Nice find at the creek!
ReplyDeleteDanni, that's so pretty and serene. I love everything about it!
ReplyDeleteKaren
How creative and serene! It's always best to wait till inspiration strikes!
ReplyDeletethis post is great! I love the candlescape and I love just how down to earth everything about this post is!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky!! When we lived in northern Maine, we would scour the woods each spring looking for shed antlers....we never found one. Stopping by from Fluster Buster - thanks for sharing :o)
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty! I love the antlers. Awesome post. Thanks so much for sharing at A Bouquet of Talent. :)
