ST. PATRICK'S DAY DECORATION ...CAN YOU GUESS?

St. Valentine's Day is over and St. Patrick's Day is on the horizon and this is my first project for it this year.
This is truly a trash to treasure project because I was just about to throw the main part of this little treasure into the trash bin when the crafter in me took a second look at it.
I'll show you how I made this in another post, but can you guess what it's made from??
Here is one more picture and I'm not going to give you any clues.
Okay, maybe just a few clues.....it's about 4 1/2" across and 3/4" deep and I had just finished lunch.
Now can you guess what it is made from?
It's not "a lid" and part of my lunch came in this container.

  1. A jar lid, I think. I love the tassel. Very cute.

  2. Maybe a mayo lid? I wouldn't have been able to even attempt a guess without the clues though! :) Very cute!

  5. Hmmm...I was going to say peanut butter lid, but Marci said that and you said it's not a lid so is it the bottom of a container?ns
It's really cute, Danni! I haven't even thought about St. Patricks Day. Maybe I'll just sit back and relax and enjoy your creations :)

    Hugs to you,
    Stephanie

  9. This is awesome. I was going to guess a lid but you said it wasn't a lid. Then you said part of your lunch came in this. hmmmmmm

*thinking while sticking tongue out and furrowing brow*

Okay, Danni, I can't say specifically but I'm going to guess that it was part of a microwave lunch item...you know perhaps one of those lunches where you microwave a part later so there is a small container for it.

  10. I think it is one of those plastic cheese rounds that come with little wrapped wedges of cheese. I agree with Suzan - St. Pat will be playing (shaking?) a tambourine soon.

  14. Well it looks like you have everyone stumped my friend.. It's going to drive me crazy now.. Chances are I'll think of something to guess at like 3am and I'll be so mad I didn't think of it now :)

Love the project too.. I really really love St. Patrick's Day.. Maybe it's because I'm Irish or maybe it's because I sputtered my way through a terrible speech about the holiday once. Ahhh memories... Anyway.. Looking forward to finding out what it's made of :)

  16. Super cute!!!

Hmmm. Everyone seems to be guessing lid even though you said it's not a lid. I liked the tuna suggestion. If it is a tuna can, you need to share if you deodorized it first :)

  17. I have no idea what it was.....but it's so cute now!!! I love this. I do get excited about St. Patrick's Day. All of sudden my Irish blood dominates! :) Can't wait.
